I decided to launch From Stockholm to Wall Street as a fresh start for my investing writing.
For several years I have been writing in Swedish about stocks across different sectors. Over time, I realised two things:
-
I wanted to reach a broader audience by writing in English
-
I wanted to improve the structure and quality of my analysis and share more of the underlying numbers
This blog is my way of doing both.
What this blog will focus on
I plan to cover a wide range of sectors and companies, with a particular emphasis on:
-
Energy & Oil – producers and developers that are sensitive to the oil and gas cycle
-
Metals & Mining – especially silver and gold names like Aya Gold & Silver, as well as base metals and selected uranium plays such as District Metals
-
Real Estate & REITs – including Nordic property companies
-
Tech & AI – software, infrastructure and AI-related companies
-
Healthcare & Biotech – from big pharma names like AstraZeneca, AbbVie and Novo Nordisk to smaller growth stories
I will also occasionally write about more traditional industrial names (for example Atlas Copco) and other opportunities where the valuation or risk/reward looks interesting.
How I plan to write
My goal is to publish posts that are:
-
Focused on fundamentals: cash flows, balance sheets, project quality and valuation
-
Transparent about assumptions: for example, which gold/silver price deck I use, or which discount rate I apply in an NPV model
-
Honest about risk: especially in high beta sectors like mining and small-cap growth
Many posts will be structured around:
-
A short summary of the thesis
-
Key value drivers
-
A simple valuation snapshot or scenario analysis
-
Main risks
-
What I am watching next (catalysts)
I am using AI tools (like ChatGPT) as a way to speed up calculations, explore different scenarios and improve the structure and language of my posts. However, all responsibility for the content, assumptions and conclusions is mine.
Why “From Stockholm to Wall Street”?
The name reflects my perspective: I am based in Stockholm, with a Nordic background, but I invest across markets – including the US and Canada – and follow global sectors like energy, mining, tech and healthcare.
Writing in English also allows me to:
-
Connect Nordic ideas with an international audience
-
Learn from feedback and conversations with investors outside Sweden
-
Improve my own thinking by forcing myself to explain ideas clearly
Final note
Nothing on this blog is investment advice. I write to document my own research process and to learn. If you choose to invest in any of the companies mentioned here, please do your own research and consider your own financial situation and risk tolerance.
Thank you for reading, and welcome to From Stockholm to Wall Street.
